In-ground trampolines

An in-ground trampoline is sunk into the ground so the jumping surface sits level with, or close to, the surrounding lawn. Many choose this option for aesthetic reasons and because the fall height if someone steps off the edge feels lower than with a freestanding trampoline on legs. At the same time, installation takes considerably more groundwork: you need to dig a pit with proper drainage, ensure free airflow beneath the mat, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for exact depth and clearance from the pit's edge.

On this page we gather families and models suited to, or sold specifically for, in-ground installation. Some in-ground models skip a full enclosure since fall height is lower, but that doesn't mean the risk of accidents disappears entirely. Always compare maximum weight, frame construction and any in-ground accessories, and check with the retailer if you're unsure whether a specific model is designed for sinking into the ground.

Quick answer

No model currently meets every requirement for this list: we only rank trampolines sold in the UK with enough technical data. The list fills automatically once retailer product feeds are connected.

How we picked

In-ground trampolines sit low, so we score the net more leniently. Everything is based on manufacturer data, not our own tests.

Allow for digging and drainage. That cost is not included in the prices we show.

Criteria for this list

  • An in-ground model installed flush with the lawn.
  • Sold in the UK and at least 50% known data.
  • Ranked with the in-ground profile: the main-list weights, with the net scored more leniently.

The list

The order gives more credit to an included safety net (In-ground preset). Scores are the same as on the product pages.

No models are ranked yet. We never pad the list with models that do not meet the requirements.

Matching models, not yet ranked

These models match the list criteria but lack enough data. They are sorted by how complete their data is and are not a ranking.

Frequently asked questions

Does an in-ground trampoline need a net?
The fall height is lower, but a net can still reduce the risk of injury. Some models come with a net, others without.
How much does it cost to sink a trampoline?
It depends on the ground, the size and whether you dig yourself. We have no verified figures, so we do not show a price for groundwork.
Why are some models shown unranked?
They match the criteria but lack enough data. We rank them once the data exists.
